We realize that some travelers do not wish to endure rugged road and camping conditions, or simply do not have enough time available for a traditional safari. For them we offer a la carte safaris. Travel between selected lodges are by charter flights and departures are daily depending on lodge availability. These safaris can be combined and arranged for any individual or a group. Any safari may start or terminate in any of the following places: Maun, Kasane or Victoria Falls. (Please contact African Adventures Unlimited for the difference in price.) Start off by settling into your beautifully furnished East African style safari tent with en suite facilities at Camp Moremi (maximum of 22 guests). Maun - Okavango Delta - Chobe National Park - Kasane
In the remote northeastern reaches of the Okavango Delta and on the border of the Moremi Wildlife Reserve lies Camp Okuti, where you will spend the first two nights. It is a small and private camp, catering for a maximum of 20 guests. Accommodation is in thatched chalets with en suite facilities. Each chalet is positioned to overlook the lagoon. Common to the area are the fish-eagle, hippos, crocodile and other small water animals in abundance. The motorboat safaris pause for enchanting picnics, while the evenings are spent around fragrant wooded campfires or in the sunken lounge, while you .listen to the sounds of the night - the splash of hippo, the roar of lions and the cry of jackal.
Transfer on the third day to Chobe Chilwero Lodge, set on a hill with a fantastic view over the Chobe River. Accommodation for the last two nights are in thatched, timber A-frame bungalows with en suite facilities (maximum of 16 guests). Victoria Falls is one of the major attractions in Africa and the world's seventh wonder. The mile-wide Zambezi drops between 270 and 320 feet into the Zambezi Gorge. A mere 50 miles away, across the Botswana border you find another great attraction: the Chobe National Park, famous for its huge herds of elephants.
This very affordable 5 day package gives you a glimpse into two beautiful countries and a chance to visit these attractions. It can serve as a perfect extension to any other tours you plan in Africa.
